Have you seen the classic tv collection? Some of the stuff there seems to be complete broadcasts.

I already know about the Classic TV section, In fact I've uploaded many PD programs to that section. However, I can only upload what I can get my hands on, which is very little.

Not sure what this "wave of uploads" is that you refer to. What's here is contributed by people like yourself. If you have something specific in mind, you might try requesting it on the Classic TV board.

By "wave of uploads" he means that Rick Prelinger is soon (I hope) going to begin uploading hundreds of new films to this website for viewing. Check earlier threads on this subject.

And, by the way, none of the Prelinger Archives films were submitted by everyday users, they were all archived and uploaded by Rick and his associates.

Sorry for the bad information. For full broadcasts, though, the OP would still probably be better off posting on the TV board.

I was actually asking Rick Prelinger if he had any old TV broadcasts, Since some of the commercials he uploaded appear to be from LIVE tv shows.

Just saw this. I have no complete TV broadcasts -- sorry. Everything we're going to upload will be educational, industrial, advertising, amateur (and maybe a few documentary) films. More of the same, but different.

The next several weeks. There are quite a lot of them and Skip will be pretty busy encoding and pulling out the segments that are to go online.

This is great news! These odds'n'ends public domain films are more entertaining than most contemporary TV and movies - to me, anyway. Put on a DVD of PRELINGER ARCHIVE films and it's like being back in the late 60s, watching local stations' TO BE ANNOUNCED programming on Saturday afternoon.
